  • Who can apply and what do you need to get started?

Anyone from the public healthcare institutions and agencies in Singapore can apply.

Here are the steps to get started:

    • Form a team of 3 to 6 members to attend the full-day ideation workshop. Each team requires a member who will be the business owner and understands the challenge in detail.
    • Each team needs to come with at least 2 use cases which they believe GenAI can help solve.
    • A minimum commitment of 12 to 16 weeks (April to July) is required, should your team’s project progress to the minimum viable product (MVP) stage.
  • How to apply?

Online registration for the ideation workshop is open from 18 – 31 March 2024. To register, email us at synapxe.healthai@synapxe.sg.

There will be three available dates for the Ideation Workshop, each hosted respectively by Synapxe’s tech partners Amazon Web Services, Avanade/Microsoft and Google.

Each team is required to only attend one full-day workshop. Teams will be assigned to the workshop on a first-come-first-served basis.

A submitted registration is a not a confirmation of your participation. Please look out for a confirmation email of your participation to your assigned workshop date.

  • Why do I need the commitment from a sponsor within my organisation and when should I start engaging one?

A sponsor within your organisation can provide the necessary support, funding, and other resources required to help accelerate and ensure the success of your project, should it progress to the MVP stage. While not mandatory, it is recommended to secure an endorsement from a sponsor within your organisation as early as during the ideation stage of the project.

  • What are the costs involved?

There are no costs for the participants of the ideation workshop. Participants will enjoy the following:

    • A full-day, in-person ideation workshop hosted by one of Synapxe’s tech partners. The session will enable you to refine and scope your challenge into a real-life use-case.
    • You will receive technical guidance by solution architects and engineers who will assist you in designing your GenAI solution during the ideation workshop.

Should you project progress to the MVP stage, co-investments by your organisation will be required to design and develop the prototype. More information to be provided at a later stage.

  • For the ideation workshop, can I choose the session by my preferred tech partner?

The ideation workshops are conducted on three different dates, each hosted by Synapxe’s tech partners, Amazon Web Services, Avanade/Microsoft and Google. Each workshop is limited to 50 pax. While participants can choose their preferred date(s), they will not be able to choose their preferred tech partner.

Participants will be informed of their assigned tech partner upon receiving the confirmation email of a successful registration.

  • How do I know if my registration is confirmed?
Successful registrants will receive a confirmation email with the details of the workshop and your assigned tech partner within 3 working days after the registration enquiry is submitted.
  • What are the criteria for selection to progress to MVP for the GenAIus Challenge?
We will aim to bring as many ideas to the MVP stage as possible, with considerations on viability and funding. Clusters and agencies will prioritise all the use case(s) and decide on which to progress, and thereafter scope them out with the tech partners.
